Cinematic & Broadcast Prep Technician

 INSPIRED IMAGE Picture Company Inc., (IIPC) offers cinematic and broadcast equipment rentals, production services and online digital content creation to clients across Canada and around the world.

Position Summary

• Preparation and assembling of specific rental items and production packages for clients from work orders and production package outlines supplied by team members
• Setup, test, clean and troubleshoot all equipment rental items and production packages to ensure proper working condition prior to being released from the shop.
• Check in, account for and test all equipment when it arrives back from clients.
• Notification of equipment loss and/or damage that need to be addressed by outside technical facilities.
• General repairs and servicing including regular cleaning of all camera, lenses and equipment
• Cleaning of all primary camera and gear, and production equipment on a daily basis
• Provide tech support to clients and assist them with pick-ups and returns. Check in, account for and test all equipment when it arrives back from clients.
• Provide contractors, and all departments in Toronto, Vancouver and Sudbury with technical support.
• Equipment pick-ups and deliveries for client and from suppliers
• Assist in any promotional work necessary , including but not limited to, visiting of clients with other team members when asked, and participating in any and all team/Company events

 Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Prep Tech experience is required.

To be an adaptable and flexible, self-motivator, possessing a keen sense to work efficiently both on a team and independently. You must be a team player with a “can do “attitude. Technical knowledge of broadcast and cinematic cameras is required. Knowledge of data management and camera /post production workflows would be nice but can also be taught.
