Rental Agent

Inspired Image Picture Company (IIPC) are specialists in broadcast and cinematic production with the provision for full production services. With one of the country’s largest rental inventories and access to the most talented crew, IIPC has the expertise to design and assemble the finest packages for a variety of industry needs. To continue offering our ongoing high level of service to our clients we are seeking a dedicated Rental Agent.

Job Location: Toronto (Etobicoke), Ontario

Position Summary

We are looking for an adaptable and flexible, self-motivator, possessing a keen sense to work efficiently both on a team and independently. The eligible candidate must sell and maintain IIPC products and services with a high regard of performance.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed client and IIPC server files
  • Assist in growing the equipment rentals revenue in Toronto
  • Communicate & coordinate equipment requirements between Toronto & Vancouver offices
  • Keep current with local productions, Producers & Production Managers in order to provide competitive quotes for equipment rental needs
  • Greet clients and crew when coming to pick up equipment packages as well as going through orders with them to assure all needs have been met
  • Preparation, review and follow up of quotes, orders and invoicing
  • Identify and recommend new inventory purchases to help grow business
  • Provide descriptive logging of all incoming rental requests
  • Keep in touch with suppliers regarding new equipment and schedule evaluations, demos & workshops
  • Visit clients to maintain good client relations
  • Resolve any issues that arise with clients
  • Track all changes, updates and revisions in booking software
  • Maintain hard copy files of invoices, packing slips, service reports, etc
  • Assist with any shipping & receiving
  • Sourcing equipment for Production team as required
  • Negotiate production packages based on client budgets and the IIPC pricing guide
  • Assist with coordinating optimal crew and equipment packages
  • Provide technical support and solutions for any given production
  • Track all changes, updates and revisions in booking software

What You Bring

  • Strong technical skills with focus on the Cinematic & Multi-camera markets
  • Must be computer adept and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Drive.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to think within the job requirements as well as outside the box.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone and in person
  • Must have strong multi-tasking and problem solving abilities, be a good team player and be able to work calmly under pressure and without constant supervision.
  • Previous experience in the film/television industry is an advantage.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
